Introduction
The Eagle EGP Series Sanitary Centrifugal Pump is a highly efficient, hygienic pump designed for the gentle and
reliable transfer of low to medium viscosity fluids. Engineered with superior hygienic standards, it delivers
consistent performance, easy maintenance, and excellent energy efficiency. The pump is ideal for applications
requiring contamination-free operation, low shear, and compliance with stringent hygiene regulations.
Applications
The EGP Series Sanitary Centrifugal Pump is specifically developed for the dairy, food, beverage, brewing,
pharmaceutical, and personal care industries. Its smooth flow characteristics make it perfect for transferring
milk, juices, wines, syrups, creams, CIP solutions, and other clean or slightly viscous liquids. The pump
handles flow rates up to 200 m³/h and heads up to 80 meters (depending on
model).

Standard Design
All product-wetted parts are made from AISI 316L stainless steel with an internal surface finish of Ra < 0.8
μm. The open or semi-open impeller design ensures gentle product handling with minimal shear. The pump casing
and impeller are precision-engineered for optimal hydraulic performance and easy CIP cleaning. The motor lantern
and baseplate are available in stainless steel or painted cast iron depending on requirements.
The EGP Series is available with a wide range of mechanical seal options and can be supplied as a bare shaft
pump or as a complete unit mounted on a baseplate with motor, coupling, and guard.
Single Mechanical Shaft Seal of the Pump
The blue region represents water/liquid. The motor and seal are completely separated from the liquid
and will not allow any leakage to enter the motor under any circumstances.
Note: The seal spring is not in contact with the product.

Working Principle
The EGP Series centrifugal pump operates on the principle of centrifugal force. A rotating impeller
accelerates the fluid radially outward, converting rotational energy into kinetic energy and then into
pressure energy as the fluid exits through the discharge port. This design provides smooth, continuous flow
with high efficiency for low to medium viscosity liquids.
